Anderson Masonry & Restoration

Project: Website redesign

We created a new site for Dave Anderson, owner of Anderson Masonry & Restoration, in the spring of 2006. Since that time he's completed many new projects and his website needed to be updated to show his latest work. My original design for Dave still looked fresh, even after two years. Because my design was based upon classic, understated colors and design elements, I avoided needing to change the look of the site simply to keep it “trendy.”

Using jQuery, I added a simple “lightbox” effect to show larger images on the project pages. (The screenshots below use the same effect.) jQuery is a standards-complaint JavaScript library that doesn't interfere with normal page functions if the site visitor doesn't have JavaScript enabled in their browser.

Dave is extremely pleased with his site redesign and feels it truly represents the high level of craftsmanship that he applies to his work.
